What Measures Should I Take to Prevent Decay?


To ensure a better dental check-up, you need to follow a daily routine of brushing and flossing. Simply don't run a toothbrush over your teeth, take your time to do it right.

First, make sure you brush in sections and angle the brush at the gum line. Use a soft bristle brush to prevent damage to the gums and teeth. Also, the use of a low-abrasion fluoride toothpaste will help to prevent decay. Second, when you brush, brush the bottom teeth from the gum line upward and the top teeth from the gum line downward. Lastly, follow up with flossing to remove plaque and bacteria between the teeth. Use your toothbrush or a tongue scraper to remove the biofilm from the tongue that can also lead to decay.
